Tina Rounsavell has been writing and editing professionally since 1973, helping authors, publishers, businesses, and nonprofit organizations produce books, print publications, and Web sites that communicate their message with clarity and impact.
She has experience with all phases of the publishing process--from the earliest draft to the final proof. She works with both writers and nonwriters who want to share their knowledge or build their business. Her strengths include maintaining the integrity of an author's style and establishing an appropriate tone for a project's target audience.
Since 1997 she been associated with PeopleSpeak, the prestigious editorial and marketing firm in Laguna Hills, California. Her PeopleSpeak projects include the 2002 Ben Franklin Award winner for Best First Book, Nonfiction.
In addition, she has worked with Sizzle! Marketing and Public Relations Solutions in La Jolla, California, to help authors and publishers bring their books to the widest possible audience.
Her training includes a BA in English and Comparative Literature from Occidental College and a certificate in copyediting from the UCSD Extension.
A long-time member of SD/PEN, the San Diego Professional Editors Network, she chaired its Steering Committee from 2003 to 2007.
